Society really annoys me.
I'm fed up on how much people judge people ,all the time, just on the way they look. How people exclude certain people from jobs, restaurants, clubs and school's just because they may have piercings, tattoo's or colored hair e.c.t.
They say that everyone is treated equally, but we aren't, a person that may have body modifications will be treated much worse than a person that doesn't How does having a tattoo/piercing make us different from anyone else?
We are still human, will still have human rights and have been given the oportunity to change our body's if we wanted to. There are tattoo parlors and piercers in most towns and cities, yet when we do decide we want something, we are then looked down upon.
A few weeks ago i was at a job interview, it was for a fast food restaurant (one of many) . Before anything else they started questioning about my tattoo's , asking how many i had and where they were on my body. I told them that i had a few on my arm and one on my chest. They're response was " Well as long as you can cover them up then that's fine, wouldn't want you looking like a mug now would we?" I was shocked. I turned the job down just because of those few words that i found highly offensive. How do they have the right to judge me?
Men/Women that are tattooed or pierced do not have problems with those who aren't, so why should people that aren't have problems with people that are?
Some jobs i can understand why they don;t want tattooed or pierced people working for them, because they are worried about the appearance of their company . They want clean people, with no tattoo's, piercings, scars or imperfections , they want them like a piece of freshly cut clay, so they can mould them exacilly how they want .
So that's my rant for today , something i read on a forum about this really made me angry, so i had to write something. Piercings are interesting and fun, you can get them with jewels and different designs, why not decorate your body? Tattoo's are body art, the body is a human canvas so you can paint it how you like . So who should have a problem with it? at the end of the day it's your body, not theirs.
